Dimple Surgery Gives Patients a Beautiful Smile

Dimples are one of the most sought-after facial features. These cheek indentations give your smile a welcoming and youthful look. Unfortunately, not everyone is born with this coveted facial feature.

However, just because you don’t have dimples naturally doesn’t mean that they’re out of your reach. Thanks to dimpleplasty, you can get that perfect million-dollar smile and leave a strong impression every time you have a conversation.

Dimpleplasty is a surgical procedure used to create attractive dimples in your cheeks. It’s an outpatient procedure, so it’s quite convenient.

How Do You Know If You Can Get Dimpleplasty?

Typically, as long as you are healthy, you will be a good candidate for dimpleplasty. Before your procedure, Dr. Kim will meet with you for a consultation.

During this consultation, he will take a look at your medical history and conduct a physical examination to determine whether you meet the requirements of an ideal candidate. If you have medical conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure, make sure that you inform Dr. Kim during your consultation.

The Dimpleplasty Procedure

Dimpleplasty is quite popular among people all over the world because it’s such a simple procedure. The entire procedure takes only 20 to 30 minutes to perform.

First, in order to numb the cheek area, local anesthesia will be administered. Dr. Kim will remove minute amounts of muscle from the future dimple areas and then close the incisions with the help of dissolvable sutures.

The dimples appear prominent for three to four months until the sutures naturally dissolve; afterwards, the dimples will look natural and only appear when smiling.

Dimpleplasty Aftercare

You’ll be able to return home right after your procedure, no hospital stay required. After a few hours, you can get right back to your normal activities. Avoid spicy and citrus-y food for three days until the wounds are completely closed. To avoid infections, Dr. Kim will prescribe antibiotics.
