Procedure

Q -Switch laser shoots a beam of light that specifically targets problem areas without having any affect on the surrounding skin. The pigment absorbs the laser energy and gets fragmented within the skin's tissues, causing new, clearer skin to develop. Since numbing cream is applied prior to the procedure, most patients are comfortable during the process.

How Many Treatments are Needed?

A tailored program will be given to you by Dr. Kim depending on the problem areas. Some patients may need only one treatment for light freckles or small spots, while others may need additional treatments if the problem areas are dark or large. Post Treatment

After the procedure, you may notice redness and swelling in the treated area(s). There might be slight bleeding and scabbing that occurs thereafter. To prevent scarring, it's important to keep the affected area protected and allow scabs to heal on its own without forcefully peeling them away. New skin will appear in a few days or weeks depending on each patient's health and healing.
