BOTOX®

Just about everyone has heard of BOTOX® to treat fine lines and wrinkles of the face. BOTOX® (OnabotulinumtoxinA) is a FDA approved prescription medicine administered in very small doses to relax the muscles that cause the wrinkles to form.

The procedure is extremely brief with minimal pain, and you may resume normal activities as soon as you leave the office. In some cases, you may feel a slight tingling or soreness in the treated area but only for a very short time. The side effects of these treatments are minimal. The results appear in 3-7 days and can last up to four months. The treatments can be repeated as often as necessary.

Where are the common areas?

  • Crow’s Feet (sides of eyes – lateral canthal lines)

  • Frown lines (in between the eyebrows- glabellar lines)

  • Forehead

  • Masseters – The condition known as masseter hypertrophy is one of the leading causes of jaw fullness (squared face). BOTOX® can be used to treat this condition and temporarily reduce the muscle thickness without changing the jaw’s bone structure whatsoever. With BOTOX®, the angle of the jaw line can look natural and fitting to your face.

  • Underarms, Hands and Feet – Apart from wrinkles, BOTOX® can be used to treat overactive, sweaty underarms, hands, and feet. It temporarily reduce sweating and the results can last up 6 months. Please visit www.botoxseveresweating.com for additional information.
